Haitian-American Care, Inc. (HACI) is a non-profit organization formed in 2008 to improve the health, education and welfare in Haiti. The organization provides medical clinics, food resources and school resources for Haitians in need.

HACI has been on the forefront of the relief and response services after the January 2010 Earthquake working in the regions and “red zones” such as Gresser, Léogâne and Carrefour-Feuilles, Port-Au-Prince. Over the past two years we have put up mobile clinics in Port-Au-Prince, supplying the clinics with medicine and medical personnel. Several “Emergency Relief Tours” with American medical professionals provided mobile clinics treatment services alongside permanent HACI, Haiti Medical Staff. The permanent staff has consistently provided mobile clinic services for earthquake survivors and had been providing these mobile clinics services to schoolchildren since 2008.

The mission of HACI is to provide and improve the health status of the less fortunate Haitians as well as providing accessibility to quality education and food security to the hungry population. HACI has a strong vision for the health of the Haitian people. Our vision is to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, and reduce the burden of pulmonary tuberculosis and malaria in the population. We have a goal for educational services of the country. Our educational vision seeks to encourage and keep children in school and / or prevent dropouts, reverses the course of the widespread adult illiteracy in the under served population, with 3-part education objective of basic education, vocational education and computer literacy. Another goal of HACI is to provide food and nutritional services. Our vision for food includes providing nutritious food to children in schools and the large adult population who are dying of malnutrition and cannot afford the cost of food.
